Towing

24/7 towing across New South Wales

While 93% of the time we’ll be able to fix the issue on the spot, sometimes a breakdown needs a little extra work. That’s why we also offer a variety of tow truck solutions for all vehicles. Some trucks are contracted through trusted, approved towing partners and others are part of our own fleet.

Remember if you have been involved in an accident please contact your insurer. NRMA roadside assistance covers you for emergency mechanical breakdown not accident damage.

Your towing allowance will vary depending on your level of roadside cover:

Everyday Care

Includes towing up to 25km across Sydney, Newcastle, Blue Mountains, Illawarra and ACT (metro). If you're in a serviced country area, we'll tow you to the town of the attending Country Service Centre. If you are in a remote area, towing can be provided however you will have to pay for the total distance travelled by the Country Service Centre operator, from the boundary to retrieve your vehicle and from the point of breakdown back to the boundary.

Towing for trailers will be provided at commercial rates payable by you at the time of service.

Complete Care

Includes towing up to 50km in metropolitan and country serviced areas across Australia. In remote areas, you also get up to 100km towing to get you back into boundary of a serviced country area, from there, you're eligible for another 50km towing in any direction or to the town of the attending Country Service Centre. These allowances cover both your vehicle and whatever you might be towing - caravans, boats and trailers up to 2 tonnes (gross vehicle mass).

What if I breakdown in an area outside my towing inclusions?
If you need a tow that is more than your towing inclusions, you will need to pay commercial rates at the time of tow, for the total distance that is in excess of your inclusions.

This also includes towing in an area outside your inclusions and/or any trailers that aren't covered in your inclusions.
