Meet our Senior Road Tester

Tim’s NRMA journey began back when you could repair cars with bailing wire and duct tape. Long before 4WDs and SUVs were a thing, this self-confessed “mechanic who can type” barrelled over fire trails in search of secret surf spots, giving him unique insight into what made a good car. Nearly 20 years representing the NRMA on the Australia’s Best Cars judging panel further honed his skills. While the wax has now hardened on Tim’s surfboards, he still loves to seek out quiet beach destinations in vehicles far removed from those he drove at the start of his career.
